Not long ago my web server crashed and almost 10 of my personal websites hosted on that server was left inaccessible for over a week. I didn't notice it at that time because I was away in a place where there's no internet connection and I was not even accessible by phone.
When I came back I restarted the server and after a few days I notice my websites were not getting traffic from organic search results as usual. Upon checking I found out out that my websites has been completely de-listed from Google's index, and the pageranks dropped.
I requested for re-consideration from Google, and after a few weeks this website (/home/shakir) has started to receive visitors from Google search, and from the progress I hope it'll be just as good as before in a matter of weeks.
Not all is good though, as my other main website TechRecipes seems to still suffer from some sort of penalty. I'm working on fixing whatever that may be causing it to being penalized and will later request for consideration from Google, and hope everything will turn normal if not better in the near future…
