I recently bought Ext Designer to help me with some of my Ext JS (cross-browser JavaScript library for building rich internet applications) based projects, and I must say that it's a very useful piece of software. I had an email conversation with an Ext employee with regard to my purchase, and managed to get some information on some future plan of their products.
Thanks for the explanation. It's a useful program and I hope it'll support charts in the future release.
Btw, do I need to pay for future releases or I can just upgrade and use the same login/key?
You will receive automatic updates for free throughout the entire 1.x line. We'll be there for quite the foreseeable future

Charts will be supported with Ext 4.x. Unfortunately we cannot support the 3.x branch because they are Flash based. In 4.x, all of the charting will be done using Canvas, SVG, and/or VML as needed, and thus will be fully supported within the Designer.
That's great news. When can I expect 4.0 to be released then?
And I just hope by that time Ext Designer wont be in it's 2.x release already

We will be introducing 4.0 at the Sencha Conference in November: http://www.sencha.com/conference/ I sincerely don't expect Designer to be in 2.x by that time either. It's really up to management
