New toy on the block – Nikon D90

In a not so recent past, I’ve got myself a Nikon D90. It’s my first dSLR and as of now I’m very pleased with what it can do. The only problem now is that I’m probably still not good at making it do what it do best, taking great photos.

 

For that I’ve also got myself a Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8, a great lens from Nikon. I hope this will bring me a step closer to taking great shots.

 

Gadgets aside, I also tried to understand the bits of what the tutorials at Cambridgeincolour was trying to tell, and the following is the first few shots that I’ve had with the camera:

 

 

* Nikon D90 and Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 photos are taken from Nikon USA website

** Other than resizing, my "sample" photos are un-doctored in any way.

  Love the pics! I just replaced my D70 with a D90. It makes me feel spoiled every time I use it.

  80-200 tu older version, being replaced by the 70-200mm.

  shakir,

  i already attend photography basic course organize by my office but i only had a chance to use old dSLR maybe D40 (i think la) but i got the best picture prize during the course. the picture not so good but the meaning of the picture is worth than the abstract… i’ll upload the picture at my blog as soon as possible. hope u can comment.

  Memang terliur gua tengok bro punya photos….gua baru bercadang nak beli D90…tapi bajet ade sikit kurang….kena kumpul dulu…..

  @yustuyun: kalo baru, banyak la kat kedai seconhand value 70-200 ni tinggi, tak turun sangat compare ngan harga baru. so, maybe you can also consider getting a brand new lens
