Today is gonna be my last day as an OSS employee (take OSS as Open Source Systems Sdn Bhd, not Open Source Software) as Linux Systems Engineer / Trainer. It was fun and rewarding place to be, and would recommend any of you who would like to join them, since they are hiring
My next job would be as Linux System Architect (don’t really know what does it mean to be an architect) at a company (soon to be disclosed) which deals with embedded Linux in wireless devices. I will need to travel to Bangsar every (working) day for this, but though it’s quite far from where I’m staying now, I still take the job since hope it’s gonna utilise all that I’ve worked on before. I was a C programmer, Linux system engineer, a computer networking degree holder, been doing IPSec, IPv6 and wireless sensor network for my bachelor degree and master, and sure, a Linux lover. They require all that over there..
I hope I’ll be able to work at my full strength over there, and for OSS, thank you for all the good days I’ve had over there, and goodbye..

Alaaa.. now it’s ten times as hard to see you…. Dulu kat OSS, at least it’s a stone throw away, even if we don’t see each other as often as we should’ve
Seems like all my frenz are leaving me at UPM by myself laa…. huhuhuhu….
You surely will be missed. Missing you already la. Serius… (trying hard to not cry)
On a less selfish note, good luck at your new place. Keep in touch, ok? And don’t think you can get rid of me so easily… hahahaha! I will haunt you one day or another hahaha… with programming probs le… the usual
But really, all the best

Thank you all, for all the support. One thing I notice, I didn’t get as much resistance as others from OSS management when I was leaving. Could it be that it’s because of my future company had talked to the management here, or could it just be nobody there likes me, haha. I gave 5 days short notice instead of the normal 2 months notice for my resignation, thus my future company talked to OSS to discuss the compensation need to be paid for my short notice resignation..
